Streetlights

Darwin Council Council sets the standards for the more than 6600 streetlights throughout the municipality and the Power Water Corporation maintains the service.

It is important to report malfunctioning streetlights and you can do so by phoning Power Water Corporation on 1800 245 091 .

A recorded message requests your name, phone number and the house or lot number nearest to the malfunctioning light(s). Leave your message and the matter will be attended to as resources permit, but generally within seven days. Where banks of streetlights are reported as being out, they are usually working again within 24 hours.
