Council provides in kind support to theatre, art and other community development programs facilitated by local not for profit organisations.

Council’s Fun in the Parks school holiday program provides recreation activities for primary school aged children whilst Council’s Fun Bus provides year round activities for pre-school aged children. Council’s Youth Services section facilitates the Grind youth website and events and programs aimed at young people such as The Big Gig.
