Cat traps
Uncontrolled and stray cats can be a real blight on your neighbourhood, particularly if they are killing native wildlife, spraying urine and producing unwanted kittens that you have to get rid of. The council hires out cat traps at no charge, though it does require a $60.00 refundable deposit.
If you want to borrow a council cat trap you will need to fill out a form available through the council. This outlines a number of conditions for use, including the need for humane treatment of any cat caught, and the need to notify your neighbours of your intentions. Trapped cats must be delivered to the RSPCA Boulter Road Berrimah.
For more information, contact the council on (08) 8930 0622.
