Disability service

Darwin City Council Libraries specially cater for customers with disabilities.

All libraries provide:

• Disabled parking

• Ramp access for wheelchairs

• Push trolleys for carrying books

• Magnifying glasses

• Large print books

• Audio books on cassettes and CD.

Casuarina Library also offers:

• Wheelchair for use

• Closed circuit TV book magnifier

Each library has a computer with the following assistive technology:

• Scanning and reading software

• On-screen magnifier software with Speech (MAGIc)

• Large keyboard

• Touch screen monitor

• Trackball mouse.
