The Community Justice Centre (CJC) was established under the Community Justice Centre Act (2005) to provide all Territorians with a confidential, timely and cost-effective means of addressing conflict away from the more formal justice system.

Services provided by the Centre are inclusive of:

• conducting adjudication process pursuant to the Construction Contracts (Security of Payments) Act 2004 (NT);
• empowering clients to identify and actively resolve conflict across a range of dispute environments;
• promoting the National Mediator Accreditation Standards (NMAS) through dispute management training and accreditation services as a Recognised Mediation Accreditation Body (RMAB) associated with the Mediator Standards Board (MSB); and
• maintaining the register of accredited mediators.

The CJC is open for business from 8.00am to 4.00pm - Monday to Friday.
