Join in the fun and free holiday activities at the Libraries

December & January School Holiday Program

Activities are for children within the age ranges specified. Children under 8 years are to be accompanied by an adult.
Holiday program activities are open to everyone. Library membership is free to all NT residents.

Event bookings will have a staggered release.
December events can be booked in December. January events can be booked in January.

Tech Zone

Come and try fun gadgets and gizmos at our Tech Zone at Casuarina Library. Stop by for 5 minutes or stay all day. We've got robots, VR Goggles and more.
All ages welcome. No need to book.

10am-3pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at Casuarina Library (except Public Holidays)

Christmas Craft

Cut, fold, glue and glitter all afternoon and make beautiful paper Christmas craft and decorations.
Ages 5 years and up. Children 8 years and under are to be accompanied by an adult.

Christmas Bedtime Stories

‘Twas the week before Christmas when all through the Library
Not a child was stirring and their eyes were all starry.
The Christmas stories were told with joy and a song.
Wear your pyjamas and bring your teddy along.

Suitable for children ages 2 to 10 and their grownups. No need to book. See you there.

Movies

Enjoy movies on the big screen during the school holidays. BYO bean bag and get comfy while you watch.
2pm every Monday and Friday at Casuarina Library. 2pm every Wednesday at Karama Library. (Except Public Holidays, 22 Dec at Casuarina, and 27 Dec at Karama)
Please see the program for details of which movie is playing.
Movies are suitable for children at parents discretion. No need to book. See you there.

Robotica

Meet a Nao robot at this fun and educational workshop.
Ages 5 years and up. Children 8 years and under are to be accompanied by an adult.

Brick by Brick

Explore this exhibition about Australia’s Capital City, Canberra, through the use of LEGO. Register for guided sessions in the morning, or drop in for free play in the afternoon.
Suitable for children 5 years and up and their grownups.

The exhibition will be at Casuarina Library from 13 January.

Guided sessions - a guide will take you through the exhibit. The session will take approx 1 hour. 
Bookings essential for these sessions.
Monday to Friday 9.30am and 11am
Saturday 9am
Sunday 1pm

Freeplay sessions - see the exhibit in your own time.
Just stop by during these times, no need to book.

Game On

Join the Corrugated Iron Crew in a 'Game On' adventure.
