“One of humankind's greatest challenges was to leave the ground and fly – since Leonardo Da Vinci designed flying machines in the 1400’s to NASA sending Apollo 11 to the moon in 1969 – we have always been fascinated and held in awe by flying objects. Come along to some hands on science sessions to design and test a range of flying objects; from wind power to motor powered – build the best flying machine.”

Kids Fringe in the Libraries: Mythical Sea Creatures

Come on a journey to the bottom of the ocean with the 2017 Kids Fringe Festival and City of Darwin Libraries. Participants will sing, dance, create and listen to stories about the exciting underwater world that they create. Developed by professional artists and educators, the workshops will be presented at a different library each day. To end the week, participants and their families will be invited to celebrate the kids arts with a special exhibition opening and celebration. To be part of the final celebration, dress up as your favourite mythical sea creature and come along to enjoy free face painting, a showcase of your work and a special performance.
