Untidy Allotments

There are regulations in place which require an owner or occupier of untidy allotments to clean up, remove litter, goods and chattels including car bodies, machinery and garden waste.

Upon becoming aware of an untidy allotment Council Rangers will inspect the property and the owner or occupier will be served with a notice to clear and remove objects within a specified time frame.

A further inspection will take place after that date. If the property is deemed to be satisfactory no further action will be taken. If the work has not been carried out staff will carry out the work and the costs will be passed on to the property owner.
