Overview - Infrastructure Improvements

Our capital works program includes renewal and redevelopment of new infrastructure.

A core part of our capital works program is committed to maintaining our parks and reserves, drains, footpaths, local roads and community buildings.

Footpath works and pathways in our city

Pathways

Darwin's pathway network is approximately 518km long, including shared paths, footpaths within the verge and paths within parks. Learn more about our pathways including new projects and maintenance schedules.

Roads

Capital work on roads includes minor and major safety and traffic improvements, new street lighting, road resurfacing, major rehabilitation works and from time to time new roads.

Stormwater

Our goal is to provide and maintain a stormwater system that meets the needs of the whole community.
