Our children’s programs have tailored content and activities to suit the different ages and stages of your child.

Stage 3 NTG Guidelines means Library programs can proceed with reduced audiences. Events will be ticketed. Tickets will be available 30 minutes prior to the event start time.

Baby Book Time
For babies ages 3 to 12 months and their grownups. These sessions are suitable for the age ranges specified. If you have older children also, please consider one of our other programs for your family.
It’s never too early to start reading to your baby. Baby Book Time will reacquaint parents with nursery rhymes and early childhood songs as well as showcase great books for babies.

Rhyme Time
For ages 3 to 24 months and their grownups. These sessions are suitable for the age ranges specified. If you have older children also, please consider one of our other programs for your family.
Clap and move to our Rhyme Time sessions. We’ll explore rhymes, songs and finger play. Interact with your baby to nurture the pre-literacy, language and social skills.

Toddler Time
For ages 1 to 3 years and their grownups. These sessions are suitable for the age ranges specified. If you have older children also, please consider one of our other programs for your family.
Dance, sing and read along with your child at our action packed Toddler Time program. Sessions include simple songs, short stories and movement activities.

Preschool Story Time
For ages 3 to 5 years and their grownups. Younger siblings are welcome, but may need more assistance from their grownups to engage with the stories and activities aimed at older children.
Build early literacy skills in children with a wide selection of picture books and stories in our fun, interactive storytelling sessions. Story Times help to develop listening, reading and comprehension skills in readiness for school.

Family Story Time
Our weekend Story Time includes songs, rhymes and stories which celebrate reading, books and using the library with your family.

Numbers are limited for these events to allow us to better deliver our early childhood programs. Tickets will be available at the Library Customer Service area 30 minutes prior to the event starting. One ticket per family. The carer must be present to receive the ticket. Late arrivals may not be admitted to the session.
