Home Delivery

Can't come to the Library? The Library will come to you.

We provide a home delivery library service to Darwin residents who are unable to visit their local library due to health reasons. The program is run through a network of volunteer community workers and library staff. We call this service Books on Wheels.

When you join this service, we will match you up with your own personal Library Assistant who will choose items on your behalf based on your preferences. The items they will be delivered direct to your door by our friendly volunteers every three weeks. You can access a wide range of our items such as:

  • Audio books
  • Large print books
  • Music CDs
  • DVDs
  • Magazines

If you have specific items you want, you can request these by contacting us or by requesting the items via the Library catalogue. There is a search bar you can use at the top of this page to see what's in our catalogue.

How do I access the home delivery service?

If you would like to join the Books on Wheels service, please contact us by phone or email to enquire.
