Council's Cyclone Marcus clean up continues to prioritise clearing roads across the Darwin Municipality.
Major roads in the CBD have been cleared for access but there is still a huge amount of work to be done.
We request that you don’t remove fallen trees and debris from your verges as this poses a safety risk (eg power lines may have been impacted)
Green waste that has been placed on verges during the clean up will be collected by Council when other emergency priorities have been dealt with.
Bin collection is a public health matter. If you are placing green waste from your property on the verge please ensure that there is access for bin collection if possible.
We request that people continue to avoid driving unless absolutely necessary. Once the roads are safe, if you are able to take your own green waste to Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility that would be appreciated. This will allow crews to focus on other priority areas.
Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility is open everyday from 7.00am to 6.00pm.
If your property has been affected by a fallen tree from a park or verge, please report it to Council on 89803616.
