Council's Cyclone Marcus clean up continues to prioritise clearing roads across the Darwin Municipality. Our crews have been working incredibly hard to get Darwin moving safely again.
City of Darwin's waste collection service will resume tomorrow. Residents should put their bins out as normal. Road obstructions may cause some bin collections to be delayed. If your bin is not emptied please leave it on the verge if safe to do so and we will collect it when possible.
If trees and debris have fallen on your verge we ask that you don't clear this for safety reasons (eg there may be power lines impacted).
Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility is open normal hours, but we do ask that residents continue to avoid using the roads where possible. Due to high demand expect delays at Shoal Bay when dropping off green waste.
Our parks have sustained considerable damage and we ask that people do not play on fallen trees or damaged play equipment for their own safety.
Casuarina Library and the City Library will both be open tomorrow.
Nightcliff, Casuarina and Parap Pools will all remain closed until further notice.
Fun Bus will not be operated tomorrow at Bagot Community.
We thank the community for your patience. Please continue to take care to stay safe.
