Kick off the festivities with the A Very Darwin Christmas Pageant on Saturday, 16 November. Experience the thrill as community floats parade through the heart of Darwin, starting from the Esplanade at 5:30 pm.
Then join us for the official launch of Christmas in Darwin with the Lord Mayor’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree at 7:00 pm in the Smith Street Mall. Watch as our beautiful tree comes to life, setting the tone for a season of joy!
Don’t miss the chance to visit Santa’s Village, open from Thursday 21 November 2024 to 21 December 2024.
Meet Santa at various libraries and at the Galleria shopping centre. Bring your little ones to snap photos and share their wish lists, while enjoying fun activities like face painting and interactive games.

From 18 November to 21 December, join the search for the cheeky elf hiding among the books.
