Regulating camping in public places
Camping in public spaces is regulated under By-Law 103. This includes sleeping in a motor vehicle, campervan, caravan, tent or in open spaces, reserves or public facilities.
Unaccompanied items related to camping found in public spaces may be removed and impounded by Council.
Council rangers monitor our public spaces and may issue infringement notices (on the spot fines) for those found camping or sleeping in a public space.
