2022 International Women's Day Walk and Celebrations
Head down to Civic Park on Saturday 5 March 2022 and join in the International Women's Day Walk and Celebrations!
After the walk through Darwin CBD, celebrations will include Guest Speakers and Morning Tea in air-conditioned Parliament House as well as Information and Activities on Chan Lawns.
International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on progress, to call for change and to celebrate the courage and achievements of the women who changed history, and those who will advance gender equality into the future. This a free community event. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Wear purple and bring your banners, hat and BYO water bottle!
- 8.30am Gather in the Civic Centre courtyard (Harry Chan Avenue, Darwin)
- 9.00am Short walk through the city centre finishing at Parliament House. Information stalls, refreshments for sale and the Fun Bus will be on the Chan Lawns
- 10.00am Celebrations at Parliament House include: Special Guest Speakers, the Hon. Ngaree Ah Kit and Sally Gearin, light refreshments will be served
FREE BUS TRAVEL on the Darwin bus network (between 7.00am to 5.30pm on Saturday 5 March 2022) is available to participants who have downloaded the International Women’s Day flyer HERE
