Intergalactic Guide to Casuarina
Created as part of the 2025 Darwin Street Art Festival at the Casuarina Library, artist Kris Keogh transformed the exterior of the building with a bright and eye-catching mural, enhancing the library’s presence as a dynamic space for education and creativity.

Meet the Artist
Kris is a musician, painter and digital artist based in Nhulunbuy, Arnhem Land, NT. He has been exhibiting since 2008 and has had several solo shows in both Australia and Japan. Recently he's been on visuals for King Stingray, at the 2023 NRL Grand Final, Parliament House and at every major music festival in Australia. He is influenced by all things kawaii, op art, and Australian Indigenous painters, especially from North-East Arnhem Land and from the Central Desert region. His favourite artist is the late N.Yunupingu. You might know his visual style from his work for Happy Yess, East Arnhem Live, Megabass, Viva La Body, the Funbus, King Sting and more.
As well as his art making, Kris Keogh has spent over two decades in the Australian electronic music underground, intent on making the most beautiful noise, any way possible. That could mean making hyper-glitched processed harp works under his own name, or making punishing chiptune beats, or by designing his own custom audio processing software using Reaktor.
He’s released on some of Australia’s best DIY labels (Datadoor, New Weird Australia, Provenance) and supported international acts like Senyawa (Indonesia), Oval (Germany), Francisco Lopez (Spain), and even Diplo.
Living and working in Arnhem Land, by day he’s a mix engineer, working with some of Australia’s best indigenous music acts (King Stingray, Yothu Yindi, Yirrmal, Birdz), by night he continues to push audio into stranger, weirder places.
