Councillor Patrik Ralph
Councillor Patrik Ralph is a born and bred Darwin local, having lived in Waters Ward all his life. The son of a Cyclone Tracy survivor, Patrik understands the value of resilience, community connection, local heritage and that these are some of the many things that make our community special.
He has a background in Law and Education, attaining a Diploma of Laws and currently training in the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) at Charles Darwin University).
Councillor Ralph currently works at a local primary school as a classroom and supported learning assistant in addition to his council duties and responsibilities.
Among many other things, he is particularly focused on bolstering Council’s community consultation processes, to build a Council that listens to residents, investing in recycling processes and public education to make it simple and easy to do the right thing and reinvigorating and maintaining infrastructure in our suburbs including our footpaths, parks and playgrounds.
Councillor Ralph hopes to foster community connection and spirit among residents from all ages and backgrounds, while supporting Darwin to be inclusive to every resident regardless of age or ability.
He is also a proud member of the Darwin Chorale and our local Arts and Community sector and looks forward to bringing creativity, energy and passion to Council.
