Council officers will determine the most suitable and available tree species for this location.

Please be aware that a number of constraints may inhibit the opportunity for trees to be planted on nature strips including underground services, surrounding infrastructure including overhead powerlines, and sightlines for pedestrians and vehicles. Council may determine that trees are not appropriate and will not be planted, you will be informed of the decision.

City of Darwin advises that all approved trees planted will be watered by Council for a period of 4 weeks. After the 4 week period, residents will need to provide additional water to the tree to help to ensure its survival.

Owners within a unit complex must go through their body corporate to request a tree(s) on the verge.
