SPORT4ALL: HELPING NT SPORTS CLUBS BUILD INCLUSION
As part of City of Darwin’s Access Strategy, our goal is to ensure people with disability can access, participate and connect across all aspects of community life.
To support this vision, City of Darwin has partnered with Sport4All to bring the national award-winning program to the Northern Territory. This initiative helps local sporting clubs and schools to confidently create inclusive environments where everyone can enjoy sport.
Sport4All is delivered by Inclusion Coaches with lived experience of disability who provide practical guidance to help communities remove barriers, adapt environments and make inclusion part of everyday sport.
Alex Woodward in partnership with City of Darwin, and John Clarke in partnership with Disability Sports Northern Territory, are leading this work in the NT. Their role is to work directly with clubs and schools, showing that inclusion doesn’t need to be complicated. It begins with small, practical changes that can transform participation.
If your club or school wants to build a stronger, more welcoming environment, Sport4All is here to help.
Contact Alex today to learn how your club can get involved.
