Who was Que Noy?

Que Noy was a compositor, builder and carpenter.

Originally a compositor with the Standard Newspaper, Walter Que Noy (3/9/1909 - 23/8/1977) later made a name for himself as a respected builder and carpenter. He was involved in the construction of many pre-war homes, including the residence for the McMillans family, located at the corner of Cavenagh Street and Edmunds Street.

Que Noy was not only known for his craftsmanship but also as an active and valued member of the Darwin community. His involvement with the Darwin Truck Owners Association further cemented his reputation as a dedicated and respected figure within the local community.
