The April school holidays are just around the corner, and City of Darwin is bringing the fun with a packed week of free activities for children, young people and families.
From story-filled sessions like Rhyme Time, Baby Book Time and Family Story Time, to Fun in the Park with Beyblades, there’s something for every age and interest.
Budding creatives and curious minds can dive into Lego Club and the STEAM Zone, while those aged 13 – 25 years can build confidence through Get That Job - First Aid courses.
Movie lovers are also in for a treat with Dragonkeeper and Bad Guys movies screened at City of Darwin libraries while School of Rock will be at Deckchair Cinema. And for something new, children aged 7–14 can step into the spotlight at the K-Pop Demon Hunters Dance Workshop.
Lord Mayor Peter Styles said the program is all about bringing the community together in fun and engaging ways.
“Free activities are held across multiple locations, the program makes it easy for families from all areas across Darwin to get involved,” he said.
“Alongside the fun, many activities are designed to build confidence, creativity and practical life skills for young people.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to try something new and have a whole lot of fun these school holidays.”
