City of Darwin are currently assessing the damage to City of Darwin assets from Tropical Cyclone Fina. While some Council facilities will reopen today, others remain closed until further notice for additional safety assessments.
City of Darwin’s primary focus is providing access to the road networks, with debris removal underway across the municipality. The community are reminded to please give clean-up crews space so that they can remove debris in a safe and efficient manner.

Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility is closed to the general public until further notice to prioritise the landfilling of rotting waste and kerbside collections.

General public can take their green waste to an alternative emergency waste management site at Hidden Valley from 1pm, details available here.

Do not place any waste, including green waste and building waste onto the verge.

Kerbside collection will resume today, Monday 24 November, operating on the standard schedule. While the City of Darwin team is working hard, some delays may occur while we manage increased demand and road closures.

City of Darwin prioritises effective waste collection to protect community health and will reinstate any disrupted services as soon as possible.
