Lake Alexander has been temporarily closed after routine water quality monitoring detected elevated levels of bacteria.
Periods of heavy rainfall and increased runoff into the lake can impact water quality, the lake has been closed while further testing is undertaken.
While East Point Reserve remains closed as part of the Cyclone Fina recovery, this update is provided to ensure the community is informed and aware of current conditions of the lake.
The public will be advised once Lake Alexander is safe to reopen.
