WORKS DESCRIPTION – SCOPE OF WORKS

The works comprise the demolition of existing (7) and the design, provision, installation and certification of new (6) outdoor fitness equipment (OFE) stations with associated soft fall to meet the requirements of City of Darwin and the equipment manufacturer’s guidelines along the existing fitness trail at Nightcliff foreshore, Darwin.

A community consultation was delivered over a four week period to find out what equipment the community would like to see. A summary of the results of this public consultation is provided. Designs tendered shall consider the feedback from the public consultation, look to accommodate the aspirations of the community within the budget proposed for the project.

Scope of work includes, but is not limited to:-

Demolition of seven (7) existing and construction of (6) six new OFE stations along the Nightcliff foreshore exercise trail.Site preparation and clearing including the removal and disposal of obsolete equipment, soft fall, seating and concrete foundation, to a site nominated by the principal within the Darwin – Palmerston area.

Placement of temporary construction site fencing, remaining in place until final completion.

Preparation of construction pad inclusive of grubbing and placement gravel minimum of 100mm compacted type 2 gravel fill, compacted and tested to 95%MMDD.

The provision and installation of new OFE stations, inclusive of equipment, seating, soft fall including the installation of concrete edging to contain the rubber soft fall.

Restoration of site, including top soil to surrounding area, at a minimum of 1.5mtr past concrete edge with super blend topsoil to a depth of 100mm and seeding with approved grass seed as and where required

Hand over, training and maintenance manuals.

Provision of Structural Section 40 on the completion of the works.
