An avenue of beautiful shade trees has been planted along the median and verge, creating a cooler, greener, and more colourful welcome for residents and visitors alike.

This project delivered:

  • A cool, green, and vibrant streetscape: New trees and landscaping have made the area more attractive and welcoming.

  • An avenue of spectacular trees: The streets are now lined with stunning shade trees that will flourish and enhance the area.

  • Footpath, lighting, and irrigation upgrades: Pedestrians can now enjoy upgraded walkways and better lighting for safer and more enjoyable experiences.

  • A statement entrance: The city’s entry now stands out as a modern, vibrant, and green space.

  • Twice as many trees: The number of trees has doubled, bringing a noticeable improvement to the city’s greenery.

The plant species chosen to require minimal maintenance, ensuring long-term sustainability for the streetscape.

This project marked a significant step in creating a greener and more sustainable Darwin, improving both the appearance and liveability of our city.
