Councillor Kim Farrar

Councillor Kim Farrar is a Darwin native with deep roots in the Northern Suburbs. She is dedicated to making Darwin more accessible for all, promoting local sustainability, and empowering youth.

As a dedicated Councillor for Waters Ward , Councillor Farrar brings energy, practical skills and a deep commitment to the people of Darwin. She believes Darwin is more than just a place to live, but is a vibrant, tropical city rich in culture and possibility. She has advocated for a Multi-Generational Recreational space for Waters Ward, a space where all ages and abilities can connect, play and relax in a social setting.

With a background in small business, NGO and government, she has successfully run two small businesses in Darwin, while also volunteering with organisations including the National Trust Darwin and the Women's Network NT, where she served as Public Officer, General Member and President for over seven years. Councillor Farrar embraces multiculturalism and believes Darwin is a melting pot of nationalities.
