Bagot Park Oval - Change Rooms Facilities Construction
City of Darwin is pleased to announce the commencement of construction for new change room facilities at Bagot Park, Millner. The project is being made possible through Australian Government and City of Darwin grants to Football Northern Territory, further delivering outcomes of the Bagot Park Master Plan 2022 - LINK.
The construction of the dedicated change rooms for female and girls' football will provide a safe and encouraging environment for increased participation in sports which in turn supports the City of Darwin's commitment to promoting healthy living and gender equality within the community.
The Scope of works include construction of four change rooms for women / girls including ablutions, a universally accessible toilet, parent, medical and referee’s facilities.
The budget for the project is $1.3 Million, funded through a combination of Grants from the Australian Government, City of Darwin and funds from Football Northern Territory.
Football Northern Territory in partnership with City of Darwin are managing delivery of the project, with local Darwin company C & R Constructions undertaking the construction works.
Construction commenced on 14 March 2025 and is expected to be completed by June 2025, weather permitting. We are working closely with our contractor to maintain pedestrian access, minimise noise and dust where possible.
