Bayfield Park Playground Revitalisation – Kraegen Crescent, Malak 

City of Darwin wishes to advise that we will be upgrading playground equipment at Bayfield Park. The upgrade works will involve removal of the old playground equipment and the installation of new playground equipment. We will also be installing softfall and an artificial shade structure.

Bayfield Park Playground is located at 9 Kraegen Crescent, Malak. The new playground will provide children with a cool and safe space to engage in physical activity and encourage social interactions.

The works are scheduled to begin on Monday 08 September 2025, and are expected to be completed by 13 October 2025, weather permitting.

The playground will be closed to the public for approximately five weeks from commencement while works are completed.

Traffic control devices will be in place for the duration of the project to ensure public safety while the works are being undertaken with minor impacts to parking and pedestrian walkways.

Our contractor will be using machinery, which may result in some noise disturbances throughout the construction period. However, we have made every effort to schedule the works to minimize disturbances.
