Car Park Lighting Upgrade - Nightcliff Jetty, Nightcliff 

City of Darwin is pleased to announce the upgrade of lighting at the Nightcliff Jetty Car Park to meet current Australian Standards, enhancing safety and surveillance in the area. 

Environmentally friendly, low-wattage LED lighting with appropriate colour temperature for coastal areas will be used for the project. Public art has been incorporated into the design of the new streetlight poles, contributing to the visual appeal and enhancing the area's overall sense of vibrancy and liveability.

This project is part of the council’s Public Lighting Capital Projects. City of Darwin is also making provisions to support the future installation of CCTV cameras by NT Police.

The works have commenced and are expected to be completed by 25 June 2025. 

Traffic control devices will be in place for the duration of the project to ensure public safety, so please follow all traffic management instructions. There will be minor impacts on parking and pedestrian walkways adjacent to the work site. 

Noise and dust disturbances are expected throughout the construction period; however, the City of Darwin has made every effort to minimize these impacts.
