Latest Project Update
This project is now complete.
Casuarina Drive & Chapman Road Intersection - Carpark Upgrade
Further to the pedestrian refuge that was recently constructed near the Casuarina Drive & Chapman Road intersection, City of Darwin will soon be implementing the second stage of this project.
Works will consist of the construction of a new section of shared path, linking the recently constructed pedestrian refuge on Casuarina Drive to the Nightcliff/Rapid Creek Foreshore shared path. Two new light poles will be installed to light the new shared path and car park, and the existing car park will be resurfaced. A new accessible parking bay will be installed, and the existing food van parking area will be retained as part of this work.
Works are expected to commence on Thursday 8 May 2025, and are expected to be compiled in four weeks, weather permitting.
In order to implement the traffic management required to ensure the safety of all road users, some delays and inconvenience are expected in the area during construction. Please adhere to the traffic control measures that will be in place to assist with the safe delivery of these important road safety projects.
