Pathways
Council will be installing a new pedestrian crossing at the East Point Reserve between the toilet block and the Lake Alexander playground.
Works include:
- Construction of a new pedestrian crossing with lighting
- The removal of the existing footbridge and construction of a new wider and compliant footbridge
Construction is scheduled to begin from the 10 March 2021 and be complete by mid June 2021.
During construction, there will be no pedestrian access as per the current connection so traffic management will be in place during working hours to assist users to safely cross the road. There will also be aftercare in place in the form of a detour for pedestrians to commute. Below are the traffic guidance schemes for your convenience.
