East Point Reserve Playground Revitalisation – New Shade Structure and Softfall
City of Darwin wishes to advise that we will be undertaking the removal and replacement of the old softfall with new rubberised softfall; and install new artificial shades over the Liberty Swing in the East Point Reserve Playground. This project aims to enhance the comfort and safety for all the users.
Please refer to the image below indicating the work area.
The works are scheduled to begin on Monday 26 May 2025 and are expected to be completed by Friday 30 May 2025, weather permitting.
The playground will be closed to the public for approximately 5 days from commencement whilst works are completed.
Traffic control devices will be in place for the duration of the project to ensure public safety while the works are being undertaken with minor impacts to parking and pedestrian walkways.
Our contractor will be machinery, which may result in some noise disturbances throughout the construction period. However, we have made every effort to schedule the works to minimize disturbances.
Thank you for your patience and consideration while we deliver this important project for the community.
