Footpath Installation Works – Harvey Street, Darwin City

City of Darwin wishes to advise you of upcoming footpath installation works on Harvey Street, from Day Street to Ryko Court, Darwin City.

This project is part of our Council’s annual Footpath Replacement Program, aimed at improving connectivity and enhancing accessibility for all users, including those with wheelchairs, trolleys, prams, and bicycles.

Please refer to the map below indicating the work area in red.

Please note the remaining footpath connection beyond Ryko Court, Darwin City will be installed as part of the new development at a later date. The temporary footpath crossing currently in place for the development will remain until the connection is installed.

Works are expected to commence on Monday, 30 March 2026 and will take approximately three weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Please follow all traffic management instructions and signage to ensure public safety while the works are being undertaken.

City of Darwin’s contractor will be using machinery that may cause noise disturbance for the duration of the works. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to nearby residents and businesses.
