Installation of School Crossing – Lindsay Street, Darwin - Completed April 2023
In order to increase the safety of children attending St Mary’s Primary School, City of Darwin is commencing construction of a school crossing on Lindsay Street, Darwin. You will find a site map showing the location of the works below.
Works are scheduled to occur from Saturday 8 April and are expected to take two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
To facilitate the works, Lindsay Street will be closed, however, local area traffic access will be available to and from Smith Street at all times. These works are being conducted during working hours so the roadway can be re-opened after hours.
Contractors will be using machinery that may cause a noise disturbance for the duration of the works.
Traffic control devices will be in place at all times to assist in the area. Please follow any traffic instructions where necessary.
