Parking Improvements - Fannie Bay Oval, Fannie Bay
City of Darwin will soon undertake works along Waratah Crescent and Kurringal Court, near Fannie Bay Oval to improve vehicle parking. This project aims to improve the efficiency and safety of on-street parking, creating a more organized and welcoming environment for sporting events and recreational activities. This project consists of following works:
Marked Parking Bays:
On-street parking bays will be painted along Waratah Crescent and Kurringal Court, Fannie Bay. Clearly marked bays will maximize available space, reduce confusion, and ensure more vehicles can park in an orderly manner during peak time
No Stopping Zones:
Yellow ‘No Stopping’ lines will be installed in areas where parking is unsafe and near property entrances. This will maintain safe access to properties, reduce congestion, and improve visibility for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
New Signage:
Additional signs will be placed around the oval to discourage illegal parking within the oval surrounds. This will help protect green spaces and maintain the amenity of the area.
Please refer to map below indicating the work area.
These works are expected to be undertaken in late-January 2026, weather permitting.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to enhance safety and convenience in this area.
