Pedestrian Refuge - Dickward Drive
As part of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, City of Darwin contractors will be undertaking works to improve road safety and usability of Dickward Drive, Nightcliff. The works will see the installation of a concrete pedestrian refuge, grab rails, bollards, pram ramps, and new and refreshed line marking.
The new pedestrian refuge will be installed on Dickward Drive, just south of Old McMillans Road.
Works are scheduled to commence from Monday 4 March 2024. Works are expected to be complete within one week from commencement, pending weather conditions.
Contractors will be using machinery that may cause a noise disturbance for the duration of the works.
Traffic control devices will be in place with stop and go controllers during working hours (7am – 5pm). Pedestrians/ Cyclist may experience minor traffic impact when using the footpath, however appropriate re-direction will be in place for guidance.
