Public Art Mural – Toilet Amenity, Alawa Oval
City of Darwin wishes to advise that we are enhancing the visual amenity of Alawa Oval by commissioning a mural for the toilet block. This project aims to make our community a colorful, vibrant, and creative city.
Local artist Tarzan Junglequeen has been engaged to deliver this mural as part of the 2025 Darwin Street Art Festival, and name of the mural is ‘NICE BOI’. The scope of works includes preparing the wall, painting the mural, and applying an anti-graffiti topcoat.
The work commenced in late May 2025 and is expected to be completed by the end of June 2025.
During this time, the toilet will remain accessible for public use, and we will work to minimize any disruptions.
We will continue to keep the community informed of the progress.
