Scope of Works

Construction of Stage 7 at the Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility. The project will deliver approximately 450,000 cubic metres (m³) of additional airspace to support the disposal of putrescible (general municipal) waste.

The Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility provides an essential service to the Northern Region through best practice waste management. The Stage 7 development will deliver additional disposal capacity for putrescible waste, supporting the ongoing operation of the facility and ensuring continuity of essential waste services for the region. The new cell is expected to begin receiving waste in the 2027 dry season.
