Softfall Replacement – Nightcliff Foreshore Playground, Rapid Creek

City of Darwin wishes to advise that we will be replacing the old softfall at Nightcliff Foreshore Playground with new rubber softfall. This work is part of the City of Darwin's playground revitalisation program, aimed at making Darwin a vibrant and healthy community. The new softfall will improve children safety and encourage physical activities.

This playground is located at Nightcliff Foreshore Park, 315 Casuarina Drive, Rapid Creek, NT 0810. Please refer to the map below, indicating the work area.

The works are scheduled to commence on Monday 27 October 2025 and are expected to be completed in two weeks’ time, weather permitting.

The playground will be closed to the public while works are being carried out.

Traffic control devices will be in place for the duration of the project to ensure public Safety. There will be minor disruptions to parking and pedestrian walkway adjacent to the work site.

Machinery will be used during construction, which may result in some noise disturbances. However, we have made every effort to schedule the works in a way that minimises disruption.
