Storage Shed Construction - Wulagi Oval
City of Darwin is pleased to announce that we will be constructing a new storage shed adjacent to Wulagi Oval. This project is part of council's Better Suburbs Program, which aims to support oval users and improve community infrastructure.
The project will deliver three lockable bays with solar lighting and internal dividers between those bays. lockers will be used to store portable soccer goal posts and other equipment. The project scope includes the storage shed design, construction of a concrete slab, installation of storage sheds, and solar lighting. The final design was completed in June 2025.
The onsite works commenced in mid-June 2025 and are expected to be completed by the end of August 2025.
Traffic control devices will be in place for the duration of the project to ensure public safety, so please follow all traffic management instructions. There will be minor impacts on parking and pedestrian walkways adjacent to the work site.
There will be noise disturbances and dust throughout the construction period. However, City of Darwin has made every effort to minimise impacts.
Please see the site plan below indicating the work area.
We thank you in advance for your patience and consideration.
