Shed Replacement – Velodrome Shed, Bagot Park

City of Darwin is replacing the storage shed at the Velodrome in Bagot Park, Millner. The existing shed has reached the end of its functional life. The new shed will provide improved storage for club equipment and support training sessions and club days.

The project is part of City of Darwin’s sports facility upgrades and refurbishment program financial year 2025/26. It supports Council’s strategic direction for best-practice and sustainable infrastructure.

Construction timeline

Works are scheduled to start on Thursday 5 November 2026 and are expected to be completed by the end of December 2026, weather permitting.

Access and construction impacts

Temporary fencing will be in place throughout construction for public safety. Property and pedestrian access will be maintained where possible, and parking near the work area may be restricted. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Machinery will be used during construction, which may result in some noise disturbances. However, we have made every effort to schedule the works in a way that minimises disruption.
