Tiling Works – Corner of Knuckey Street and Cavenagh Street, Darwin City
City of Darwin wishes to inform you that we will be installing high-friction porcelain tiles at the corner of Knuckey Street and Cavenagh Street, Darwin City. This project is part of Better Suburbs Program and aims to improve the visual amenity and safety of sidewalks in Darwin City.
Please see the map below, indicating the work area.
On-site works will commence on Tuesday 14 October 2025 and is expected to be completed on Friday 07 November 2025, weather permitting.
Shop and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. However, there will be temporary footpath and left turn lane closures in place, as well as the use of adjacent car parks in the work area. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Traffic control measures will be in place throughout the project to ensure public safety.
Machinery will be used during construction, which may result in some noise disturbances. Every effort has been made to schedule the works in a way that minimises disruption.
Thank you for your patience and consideration while we deliver this project for the community.
