Traffic Improvements - Woolner Road, Woolner - Completed June 2023
In response to a Road Safety Audit undertaken for Woolner Road, City of Darwin will soon be making some road safety improvements to the road and adjacent footpath.
The works will consist of; the construction of a splitter island at the northern entrance to the Woolner Road/Chong Wee Avenue roundabout to reduce vehicle speeds through the roundabout, the construction of a footpath linking the footpath on Trochus Cres to pedestrian refuge on Woolner Road, as well as general improvements to footpaths, street signs and line markings along the road.
See below for diagrams of the affected areas.
City of Darwin wishes to advise the works are scheduled to commence from mid May 2023, weather permitting.
Contractors will be using machinery that may cause a noise disturbance for the duration of the works. Works are expected to be complete within 3 weeks from commencement (weather permitting).
Traffic control devices will be in place at all times to assist in the area. Please follow any traffic instructions where necessary.
City of Darwin has made every effort to minimise impacts. We thank you in advance for your patience and consideration.
