Access arrangements: Lindsay Street will be closed between Cavenagh Street and Woods Street. There will be no vehicle access from Cavenagh Street into Lindsay Street during the closure. Local access to Lindsay Street will remain available via Woods Street. Traffic management measures will be in place during the closures. Please follow all traffic management signs and allow extra travel time when travelling to the area to avoid delays. |

Traffic along Smith Street between Knuckey Street and Peel Street will be reduced to one-way traffic while works are carried out. As part of the Smith Street Streetscape project, two road murals will be installed at the intersections of:

On-street parking and side street access in these areas may be unavailable during the works. Please follow all traffic management signage. Smith Street Streetscape project: The Smith Street Streetscape project aims to revitalise the CBD by creating a safer, cooler, greener and more dynamic hub. Community consultation found that 80 per cent of respondents supported the upgrades, with more than half of respondents more likely to visit Smith Street after the improvements. Following completion of the full road closure, a partial lane closure will be implemented on Woods Street to facilitate construction of the new CDU student accommodation by DCOH.
