Following completion of the full road closure, a partial lane closure will be implemented on Woods Street to facilitate construction of the new CDU student accommodation by DCOH. The partial lane closure is expected to remain in place for approximately two years. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank the community for their patience while these works are completed. TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – BOMBING ROAD, WINNELLIE
Upcoming works will temporarily close the Stuart Highway access to Bombing Road from Monday, 31 August 2026. Location: Stuart Highway access to Bombing Road, Winnellie Commencing: Friday 28 August 2026 Duration: Approximately 14 days within a three-week period, subject to weather and site conditions. Access to businesses along Bombing Road will remain available via Winnellie Road at all times. There will be no loss of access to businesses. Detours and traffic management signage will be in place to safely direct road users around the closure. Please follow all traffic management signage and allow extra travel time when travelling to the area to avoid delays.
