Driveway Upgrade and Reconstruction Program 2026-27
Driveway Program has been identified as one of the programs under road and pathways in the Municipal Plan 2026-27 and will deliver a $250,000 program.
These works form part of City of Darwin’s annual Driveway Upgrade and Reconstruction Program, to upgrade the bitumen driveways to reinforced concrete. This program aims to improve residents’ access to their properties by enhancing driveway quality. Extending the service life of these assets also reduces environmental impact by minimising the need for resource production and ongoing maintenance.
A total of 66 driveways has been identified in the 2026-27 Driveway Upgrades and Reconstruction program across following suburbs:
- Nakara – 23 driveways
- Anula - 8 driveways
- Jingili - 6 driveways
- Moil - 3 driveways
- Wagaman – 4 driveways
- Tiwi - 22 driveways
