💜 Celebrating Female Academics for International Women's Day 2026 💜
Join Dr Kushi Chauhan and A/Prof Tracy Woodroffe for a presentation on successful cross‑cultural partnerships in Indigenous-focused research.
You'll hear a concise account of the working relationship between a non‑Indigenous researcher and an Indigenous principal supervisor, including the communication strategies and supervisory practices that supported effective research and timely award completion.
At its core, the presentation explores shared knowledge in teaching and education, mutual respect, cultural positioning, and culturally responsive practice. It also reflects on implementing the Australian Curriculum through the principles of equity, human dignity, and the fundamental right to education.
The research methodology will be detailed, as well as the findings and recommendations.
