Get ready for a fun and exciting wet season with the Dalay Reading Club, starting on 14 December 2024. This annual program encourages young readers to dive into books during the holidays. Whether you're a child or teen there's something for everyone!
‘Dalay’ means ‘monsoon season’ in the language of the Larrakia people.
Win prizes for reading
When you sign up in person at any City of Darwin Library, you'll receive a reading log to track your progress. The more books you read, the better your chances of winning awesome prizes! Incentives are awarded throughout the program, with special prizes for children who read the most books. It’s a fantastic way to stay motivated and make reading even more enjoyable.
Dalay Reading Club party
At the end of the program, all participants are invited to the Dalay Reading Club Party. It’s a celebration of your reading achievements! We’ll hear about how many books everyone has read, discover which books have been the most popular, and announce the winners of the reading prizes. It's a great opportunity to connect with other readers and celebrate the joy of books!
