Join artist Anastasia Maximova as she leads you on an amazing journey to explore the interconnection between art, maths and plants. Observe nature’s unique rhythm and cycles and create a beautiful botanical painting in a workshop that delves into the scientific knowledge of the present and art illusions of the past. Formulated for the beginner to the advanced, Anastasia’s professional workshops are designed to enable participants to build their skills and techniques to transform their artwork.
Participants are required to bring their plant, vegetable, leaf, or another botanical piece to illustrate.
Quality materials are provided, and previous participants are encouraged to bring their acquired materials and botanical journals.
A light lunch and tasty snacks with brewed coffee and tea are included, with a complimentary glass of bubbles at culmination of the workshop to celebrate two days of synergy.

About Anastasia
Anastasia is a botanical artist, tutor, and researcher, exploring arts-based environmental education. She provides workshops with a focus on the history of botanical art, the peculiarities of its graphite, ink, and watercolour techniques, and the interconnection between contemporary Botanical Art and environmental sustainability. Anastasia is a member of the Botanical Art Society of Australia, the Association of British Botanical Artists, the American Society of Botanical Artists, and the international Society of Botanical Artists. She has actively participated in national and international art exhibitions, including a project “Botanical Art Worldwide” and a variety of socio-cultural projects, devoted to plant biodiversity conservation. The art story on the Mangroves of Australia was displayed in the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art at Kew in support of the United Nations 26th Climate Change Conference – COP26-Glasgow 2021.
