Language is more than words. It is kinship, land, memory, and the rhythm of history carried in every syllable.
Step into the living knowledge traditions of East Arnhem Land with our ONLINE Yolŋu Studies short course, grounded in Cultural Commitment and Community Engagement.
You’ll build foundational skills in Dhuwala Gupapuyŋu and Dhuwal Djambarrpuyŋu grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation while deepening your understanding of Yolŋu kinship systems, land relationships, and cultural history. Respectful communication sits at the heart of this learning journey.

✨ Intermediate Learners of Yolŋu language and culture | 20 April - 29 May 2026
A certificate will be issued to acknowledge completion of the course (6 weeks of participation + translation assignments).
