Meet the Artist
Local artist Tarzan Junglequeen (Instagram @tarzanjunglequeen_artist) was engaged to deliver this mural as part of the 2025 Darwin Street Art Festival, and name of the mural is ‘NICE BOI’. The scope of works included preparing the wall, painting the mural, and applying an anti-graffiti topcoat. The project aiming to make our community a colorful, vibrant, and creative city.
Tarzan JungleQueen is a multi-disciplinary queer artist whose work blends graphic design, collage, screen printing, and text. Their work explores and reimagines ideas of queerness, identity, and community, often through the deconstruction of their own body. With a deep connection to community arts in Darwin, Tarzan is committed to collective liberation and environmental justice. Their art has been exhibited locally, interstate, and internationally. “Not free until we’re all free.”
